Teacher Training for the Junior Solar Sprint

Are your students curious about solar energy? You can help them learn how to harness the power of the sun.

The Philadelphia Solar Energy Association (PSEA) is offering a free Teacher Training for all middle school and 9th grade teachers across the region on the Junior Solar Sprint.  The Sprint is a STEM program through which students learn to design, build and race model solar cars.  The program culminates each year on Race Day, held on the Drexel campus in University City, where students compete for prizes in a range of categories:  Artistic Merit, Technical Merit, and of course, Speed. This video will give you a good sense of the program.

The free Teacher Training will be held on Saturday, November 2nd at the Friends Center, 15th and Cherry Streets, Philadelphia, PA from 9:30 am - 1:00 pm.  All training materials as well as a light breakfast and lunch will be provided.  Act 48 credits are also available.    REGISTER HERE
