“Imagine A Clean Energy Future”

The contest is open to all students in the region, in grades 5 -12. Entries may be submitted in 1, 2 or all 3 of the categories. below.

• 1. Visual Arts: all visual media: drawings, paintings, collages, etc. 

• 2. Language Arts:  500 words or less essay, poem or other written format  

• 3. Video: 90 seconds or less showing an invention, concept, learning center or other idea that will help us build a clean energy future.

  Prizes will be awarded at the Opening Reception in the Spring 2024.

Please read submission requirements below, carefully:

CONTEST SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

Grade categories: 5th-12th grade students

File format: PDF only (for Visual Art entries); Word or Pages (for Language Art entries)

File name: student’s full name: ie. JoeWhite.pdf or JoeWhite.doc

Layout: set page layout size to 11” x 17” format

Length: max. 500 words for Language Art entries- but must fit on 1 side of 11”x17”

Margins: minimum of 1” on right, left, top & bottom

Orientation: may be horizontal or vertical

Font size: min. 20 pt. font for Language Art entries - but must fit on 1 side of an 11”x17” page

Identification: your name(s), school & grade must be CLEARLY written on lower right corner

Group Size: maximum of 4 students per entry

For Visual Art entries, if you are photographing your artwork, please make sure there are NO fingers, shadows, background objects, etc. showing - just your artwork itself. Ideally, if you can scan your work, and send as a PDF, that will be the most presentable, but if not, a clear, fingers-free photograph will be OK.

Remember, we plan to exhibit the top entries, so make sure your artwork is strong/dark enough to be seen from afar.
